Description

This is the first in a series of events stemming from the Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association that FSU Libraries will host. Lectures and film screenings will introduce the FSU and Tallahassee community to the deep and varied history and culture of Islam and Islamic society.

Dr. Adam Gaiser, Associate Professor of Islamic studies in FSU’s Department of Religion, will open our series of events with a lecture introducing the history of Islamic culture. Books, videos and online materials from the Muslim Journeys program will also be available for check-out by attendees with a valid FSU card.
