Alternative Spring Break: Every year, FSU Law’s Public Interest Law Center sends a group of students to a migrant farm worker community in Florida, where they’ll spend the first weekend of Spring Break assisting migrant workers with their legal issues. Students work with a local nonprofit while touring migrant worker camps and learning about the unique issues these workers face.
Time spent on Alternative Spring Break is eligible for pro bono credit, and past students have completed their pro bono requirement by taking part in this program. ASB is also the only pro bono opportunity available to 1Ls as well as 2Ls, 3Ls, & LLMs!
Space is limited, and the program will likely fill up quickly. An interest meeting will be held TODAY from 12:30 - 1:30PM in Room 103. Students planning to apply are strongly encouraged to attend. Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind pro bono opportunity! Applications are due Friday, February 16.
