This was an outstanding program. The young James Chang show great promise, is well respected and liked by his peers in the College of Music. The Mozart piece was so moving. I felt like I was in Vienna. Read Gainsford's playing was thrilling. This is the first piano solo faculty piece I have heard with the University Symphony Orchestra. What a wonderful way to end the UMA concert 2016-2017 season. This was an outstanding example of Alex Jimenez's leadership of the orchestra and reflected on all of the music school's faculty in expecting excellence in performance.
