Did you know that students and faculty at FSU have access to a very powerful research computing cluster? 

This workshop will cover the basics of using the High-Performance Computing cluster (HPC) to run computing jobs. It is a great introduction for users new to the HPC or those who wish to brush up on current best practices and workflows for using the HPC at FSU.
Specifically, this workshop will cover:

• How the HPC works
• What the Slurm Scheduler is and how to use it
• Slurm job submission and job management commands
• How to compute jobs on the HPC

How to Prepare:
Before the workshop begins, be sure that you have installed a secure shell (SSH client) on your computer. If you have a Mac or Linux computer, an SSH client is already built into the operating system. If you have a Windows computer, refer to our instructions for how to set up an SSH client.

We encourage you to sign-up for an RCC account on our website prior to enrollment if you want to follow along interactively. However, this is not a necessity to follow the course.
