Pre-Registrations involve documenting your research plan, including research questions, hypothesis, and data collection and analysis methods, before any data are collected or experiments are performed and often submitting the plan to a registry.  Registered reports expand on this concept by submitting the research plan to a journal before data collection takes place for peer review and a commitment to publish no matter the results. This workshop will provide an overview of pre-registrations and registered reports, their benefits and possible drawbacks, and how to integrate these practices into their own research.
