Inspired by the book “How to Lie with Maps” by Mark Monmonier, this workshop will examine the complexities of transferring our 3D world to a 2D representation on paper or computer screen. In an introduction to cartography design concepts, attendees will develop a foundation of how their choices influence perceptions and understanding of the underlying map data.
