About this Event
The Interdisciplinary Archives Intensive is a three-session series of workshops designed for student researchers who utilize archival resources across various disciplines, including History, Art History, Literature, Classics, and Religion. These workshops aim to equip students with the skills necessary to become independent scholars capable of conducting efficient and effective archival research.
The final workshop in the Interdisciplinary Archives Series focuses on the management and organization of primary source citations and annotations for research purposes. Students will be introduced to Zotero for primary source management, learning how to organize and correctly label their sources. The session will also cover primary source annotation and note keeping, as well as methods for pulling quotes and making them searchable. These practices will enable students to maintain a well-organized and accessible index of their research materials. For travel grant credit, you must be an enrolled graduate student in a humanities or humanities-related field.
Note: While not a prerequisite, we recommend attending a QEP Workshop on using Zotero.
Please contact this QEP's instructor, Dr. Rachel Duke, if you have questions about workshop content.
You MUST use your FSU email account to access this workshop through Zoom. Please ensure that your Zoom app is up to date before the workshop. Check-in ends 10 minutes after the scheduled start time and late arrivals will not be admitted.
The Graduate Skills Workshop series is a collection of workshops developed in collaboration with the Graduate School and the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) to support graduate research and success.
