Something Rotten

The Florida State Universtiy School of Theatre presents Something Rotten, February 24 - March 5 in the Fallon Theatre!

Welcome to the Renaissance, where a leather-clad wordsmith with swiveling hips is rocking London: Shakespeare! Meanwhile, down-on-their-luck playwrights Nick and Nigel Bottom can't summon a single sonnet. Then, when Nostradamus himself foretells "the future of theatre", the Bottom brothers hatch a plan to rise to the top. Hilarity ensues in this campy lampoon of England's first-ever musical.

Something Rotten is a saga of artistic rivalry and camaraderie over-stuffed with in-jokes for Broadway fans. It premiered at the St. James Theatre in 2015 starring Christian Borle, Brian D'Arcy James, and John Cariani after a twenty-year development journey.
