The Miami-based Haitian American artist Edouard Duval-Carrié will visit FSU to participate in discussions and social gatherings with faculty and students in the Departments of Art History and Modern Languages. Duval-Carrié’s vibrant paintings and sculptures are renowned internationally. In 2018 FSU art historians curated an exhibition of his work in the Museum of Fine Arts, Decolonizing Refinement: Contemporary Pursuits in the Art of Edouard Duval-Carrié, which later traveled to museums around the state. Duval-Carrié will speak at 6pm on Monday, November 14 in room 2004 WJB; the talk is free and open to all.
