Band Camp for Senior High offers a comprehensive music experience focused on developing the player in addition to developing playing techniques. At this two-week intensive camp, campers will perform with one of three concert bands and attend daily classes that include rehearsals, music theory, sectional and master classes, and an elective class.
A band campers’ musical day begins at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm. Each day is divided into eight class periods and includes an hour break for lunch. Campers put down their instruments at 5:00pm, but the day isn’t over yet! Each evening, students can participate in recreational activities such as bowling, swimming, movie nights, roller skating and more.
Performance opportunities are also an integral part of the camp experience. Students at Band Camp for Senior High will perform in two public performances; one on the first Saturday of the camp and one on the last day of the camp. They may also perform in an elective class concert and our elite Honors Solo Recital. Honors Solo Recital performers are selected through an audition process.
You must be a registered camper to attend this event. Please visit our website or contact us at 850-644-9934 for more information.
