The Florida State University Department of Art invites you to the the FSU BFA Showcase "Bite From the Apple". The showcase opens Saturday, April 6th and will remain on display through June 15th, 2024 at Munroe Family Community Gallery in Gadsden Arts Museum & Center. 

"Bite From the Apple" is an exhibition spotlighting the transformative journey of the Bachelor of Fine Art students at Florida State University, from current students graduating in 2023 to 2025. Serving as a catalyst for emerging visual artists and designers, the FSU BFA program fosters independence and nurtures creative excellence, equipping graduates for dynamic careers in design, fine art, and craft. Organized by award-winning artist and Professor of Painting and Drawing, Carrie Ann Baade, alongside artist and BFA student, Nicolina Morra, this mixed media showcase celebrates the culmination of years of dedication, exploration, and artistic growth, providing viewers with a glimpse into the innovative practices and creative endeavors of FSU's emerging artists.

Aligned with FSU’s dedication to innovation and scholarship, the BFA curriculum encourages rigorous conceptual development and cultivates a spirit of inquiry. Guided by dedicated faculty mentors, the students embark on thrilling adventures of independent research, fueled by curiosity and creativity, poised to shape the future of the arts.

Admission:

The Gadsden Arts Center & Museum's visitor hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10am – 5 pm. Exhibition admission is free for all museum members, children aged 17 and under, families visiting the ArtZone, and children’s groups, $3 for students and $5 for adult non-members. Students in the exhibit have free admission for themselves, their friends, and/or family accompanying them on the day of the opening Saturday April 6th from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
