Being that love island and reality TV in general has been the talk of the summer we decided to base our first GBM off of the show Love Island. There will be different segments throughout the gbm that cause the participants to partner up with people around the room to complete different tasks. Similar to the challenges that the couples go through in the show. We will make this very interactive by starting off the event with an icebreaker about relationships and your opinions on some of the couples that started in the show. The whole point of this event is just to welcome people into the black student union and bring them a welcoming and open feeling. After conducting the icebreaker we will go into introducing the new e-board, saying the mission statement, the purpose of the gbm, and just saying a little bit about the history of the Black student union. At the end of the event, we will introduce other upcoming events and make sure to tell people to visit us at the weekly markets.
