During this trip, we’ll visit sites associated with various ethnicities and cultures important to Florida’s history, including Spanish, African-American and Native American. In Daytona Beach, we’ll visit the Mary McLeod Bethune home, Jackie Robinson Ballpark and Halifax Historical Museum. In St. Augustine we’ll tour Fort Mose, the First Colony Exhibit at Government House and the Lincolnville Historic District. Several of the sites do not charge admission, although they accept donations, and fees at the remainder are nominal. Those who register will receive further details regarding lodging and dining options as well as carpooling possibilities. Members will be responsible for their own arrangements and expenses.
