Discover DH: Introduction to Text Analysis

This session will continue the overview of text analysis concepts introduced in “Building a Corpus for Text Analysis.” This session will introduce key vocabulary for conducting computational text analysis. In addition, we will talk about the concept of web scraping, and using APIs to automatically get large amounts of texts. We will also use some graphical tools to visualize and quantify text data. This workshop is intended for those who are just starting with distant reading or looking for a refresher on the main concepts of large scale text analysis.
