Learn how to navigate through the minefields of employment law by examining issues related to Equal Employment Opportunity Law at the Federal, State, and University Policy level. Participants will gain an understanding of anti-discrimination law including what is a ¿protected group,¿ what aspects of employment are protected, and what constitutes ¿discrimination.¿ Also discussed are: guidelines on how to recognize and avoid discriminatory behaviors at work; case studies relating to discrimination in the employment context; and who to contact on campus for assistance with discrimination issues. This course counts toward the Frontline Leadership Certificate.
