On January 24 from 12:30-1:30 p.m., in Room A221, the Center for Environmental, Energy & Land Use Law will welcome David Bookbinder, former chief climate counsel for the Sierra Club and former chief counsel for the Niskanen Center. Bookbinder will deliver a talk titled "State and Local Governments as Climate Plaintiffs and Climate Defendants: Hard Questions About the Role of the Judiciary" in which he will discuss the tort claims that state and local governments are bringing against the fossil fuel industry, and citizens' constitutional claims against states and the federal government.
