Interested in building your resume with an international experience or struggling to identify experiences in alignment with your major or future career? 

Attend this networking event from 1:30 to 4:40 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Dunlap Success Center Room #2201/2202 to learn more about in-person experiences around the globe including internships, undergraduate research, service-learning engagements, job shadowing, etc. 

Representatives will be on-hand to chat with you about the experiences they offer: 

  • AIFS Abroad > Intern abroad with AIFS Abroad in one of 17 international cities. You’ll learn outside of the classroom, gain work experience in one of over 40 career fields, build your resume, make lifelong friendships and professional connections, and earn academic credit. AIFS Abroad has 23 years of experience with placing international interns.
  • Arcadia STEM Summer Research Programs > Arcadia Abroad is a longstanding university-based provider of experiential learning opportunities, including international research. Summer STEM research programs abroad will challenge your academic knowledge and critical thinking skills while opening up a whole world of cultural and social experiences. No prior lab experience required! Choose from a variety of projects available through Arcadia Abroad and our international partner institutions in England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. With a dedicated team in the US and abroad, Arcadia Abroad continuously strives to provide the highest level of support and service to its program participants wherever they are in the world.
  • CEA/CAPA > CEA CAPA Education Abroad offers high-quality international internships, and pre-health and pre-law shadowing opportunities abroad for students like you. Our mission is to empower students to become thoughtful and thriving leaders through living and learning abroad.
  • Peace Corps > Ready for something bigger? Peace Corps Volunteers put their purpose, passion, and skills to work in partnership with host communities in 60+ countries across six professional sectors: health, education, agriculture, environment, community and youth development. Come speak with the FSU Peace Corps recruiter to learn more.
  • Semester at Sea > Students of all majors can learn, travel and study on our floating college!
  • FSU Center for Intensive English Studies TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Certificate >Provides instruction on the basic teaching skills, methods, and intercultural competence necessary for teaching English successfully abroad. A 120-hour Certificate program designed to provide an overview of TEFL, including teaching methodologies, student assessment, and practical applications to teaching grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
  • FSU Global Citizenship Certificate > Designed to help undergraduate students maximize the rich cultural learning experiences available for them on campus, in the community and abroad. Through a combination of courses and international and/or intercultural activities students gain invaluable cross-cultural skills and competencies needed to be global-ready graduates. 
  • FSU Global Exchanges > Provides an immersive study experience at a host university. Courses are taught in English, with the exception of language learning courses. Students attend classes with other international exchange student from around the world and with local students, making life-long friendships and connections. FSU Global Exchanges are an affordable way to have a once-in-a-lifetime international experience. Students pay FSU tuition and fees and can use their financial aid. Tuition and fees are waived at the host university, with all academic credit earned at the host institution transferred back to meet FSU degree requirements.
  • FSU Global Scholars > Prepares undergraduate students to become globally engaged citizens through coursework, international service-learning and independent research. Participants complete a global experience and present their work at the Global Scholars Showcase.
  • FSU IDEA Grants > FSU undergraduate students in all majors can apply for an FSU IDEA Grant. Selected applicants will receive either a summer stipend of up to $4,000 (or up to $6,000 for groups) to fund their self-designed work on a topic, project, problem, artistic product or performance, or other entrepreneurial or creative idea. Projects must last 8-12 weeks and be under the mentorship of a supervising faculty member.
  • FSU International Programs Internships Abroad > Interning abroad with FSU means taking courses for FSU credit in a unique location while experiencing a culture unlike your own and building your resume with an internship at one of our Study Centers in London, UK; Valencia, Spain; Florence, Italy or Panama City, Republic of Panama. FSU is the #10 public university in the US for study abroad and International Programs has been providing these life changing experiences for over 65 years.
  • FSU Middle East Center > The Middle East Studies major and minor at FSU offer students an immersive, interdisciplinary education integrating Arabic or Hebrew language study with coursework in history, religion, politics, international affairs, and public administration. Students graduate with both linguistic fluency and critical analytical skills—prepared for careers in diplomacy, international development, journalism, public policy, or academia.
  • FSU Moellership Program > Named for its founder Bill Moeller, provides undergraduate and graduate students at Florida State University the opportunity to focus 8-12 weeks of their summer on service at a non-profit agency. Students receive a stipend of up to $4,000 for participation in the program. Examples of past projects include working in implementing a reading curriculum in South Africa, caring for people with HIV/AIDS in Spain, and designing a poultry production project in Tanzania.
  • FSU Office of National Fellowships (ONF) > Provides information and support throughout the fellowship application process for undergraduates and recent graduates to pursue fellowships for engaged learning, international experiences, research, and more. Through one-on-one mentoring, appreciative advising, and direct assistance for over sixty nationally competitive fellowships, the office helps students to identify and achieve their academic, public service, creative, and leadership goals.
  • FSU PeaceJam > An international education program built around Nobel Peace Prize Laureates who work personally with youth to pass on the spirit, skills, and wisdom they embody. The goal of PeaceJam is to inspire a new generation of leaders who will transform themselves, their local communities, and the world.
  • FSU Tyler Center for Global Studies Fellowship > Funded by the Tyler Center for Global Studies and supported by FSU’s Center for Undergraduate Research & Academic Engagement, Tyler Fellows conduct independent research outside of the United States.
