A collaboration between the University Registrar, Office of Distance Learning, Information Technology Services, and Office of Compliance and Ethics, this training provides a brief history of FERPA and its origins before diving into how best to manage student privacy obligations in the digital age. Faculty, adjuncts and graduate assistants with teaching assignments will especially benefit from this training, which will provide guidance on utilizing university-provided resources to maintain FERPA compliance in the classroom, how and when use of other resources can be appropriate, and where to go on campus (virtually!) with questions or approval requests.
