This year, the FA at FSU has invited flute professor Carol Wincenc from the Juilliard School of Music. This artist-in-residence event will consist of a warm-up, recital, an open flute choir reading session, a lecture-discussion, and two workshops held at the College of Music on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

This guest residency will consist of a variety of classes and workshops designed to broaden the musical horizons of FSU students, allowing them to interact with professionals from diverse backgrounds, gain feedback and new ideas to further their musical skills, as well as provide a professional perspective. 

As a celebrated professional in the field, Professor Carol Wincenc’s presence can greatly impact FSU musicians and non-musicians alike, as well as members of the larger Tallahassee community. It is the FA at FSU’s aim to introduce the student body to not only the best and brightest guest artists, to enrich the campus culture in Tallahassee, and also foster the continued growth of FSU’s musicians and music enthusiasts alike.
