FSU College of Medicine's FSU Cares and Students Interested in Global Health (SIGH) would like to host a 5k race to help raise money for our annual medical service learning mission trip to Filipina, Panama. Proceeds from the event will help pay for supplies, medications, children's toys and transportation. Each year since 2002, a team of FSU College of Medicine medical students and faculty members travel to Panama, where they spend one week providing health outreach services to the residents of rural Filipina and surrounding villages. After speaking with FSU PD's Sgt. Izquierdo, the race will follow the typical 5k route starting and ending at the unconquered statue at Doak Campbell Stadium. We would like to welcome the public to participate.
