Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright US Student Program is the largest U.S. international exchange program. Fulbright funds yearlong international experiences in over 140 countries for participants to undertake graduate study, research, creative projects, and English language instruction. All fields of study are accepted.

The Office of National Fellowships (ONF) and the Office of Graduate Fellowships & Awards (OGFA) supports all of Florida State University’s Fulbright applicants. Assistance is offered in the form of individual meetings to discuss candidacy and project ideas, essay construction and revision assistance, and technical support.

Candidates demonstrate their interest in applying by completing the Intent to Participate online survey. This document is only reviewed by an FSU fellowship advisor to understand your interests and questions. Once submitted, candidates will be paired with a fellowship advisor who will support them through the application process.

The first internal deadline is the June 1st Pre-Application which requires drafts of the two Fulbright essays. The second internal deadline is July 13th for the names and contact information of three recommenders.

For more information regarding the Fulbright U.S. Student Programs, please contact the Office of National Fellowships or the Office of Graduate Fellowships & Awards.
