We are excited to announce the theme of the upcoming Postdoctoral Spring Event Sponsored by the OPDA and the PDA - "The Balanced Postdoc - Towards a Fulfilling Career and Life". Come on out for a an afternoon professional development program that is centered on reducing stress in your career and increasing your time management skills!
We will hear from two specialists as keynote addresses -
Mr. Kyle Caswell - "Stressed Out!" - Stress Management Training
Dr. Samantha Nix - "Achieving Balance" - Time Management Workshop
As part of Samantha's program, you are asked to go to the following site and download (and pilot!) an application that is free for time tracking (either phone or your computer). It is found at this URL
Then we will hear from an interactive Work/Life Balance Panel of Faculty and Professionals.
An end of event Reception and Social Time is Planned (no tracking!!!) for relaxation and sharing. Family, research associates, mentors, and friends are all invited to the reception and social starting at 5 pm.
