FYA Ambassador Training

The FYA Ambassador program offers students who participated in the First Year Abroad program the chance to earn valuable paid work experience while sharing the virtues of their FYA experience with high school guidance counselors, teachers, and students. Ambassadors visit high schools of their choice in their hometowns and surrounding areas and meet with school personnel to spread the word about the FYA program and its benefits. Ambassadors receive presentation training and support from our office, while serving as valuable assets to International Programs, representing both our office and FSU. The Ambassador visits operate on a flexible schedule, set by the student, and are most often completed over scheduled university breaks when students return home (Thanksgiving, winter break, spring break, etc). A student must complete a mandatory training session in order to be eligible.
