Gaming the Educational System: A Talk with a Game Developer

Why are most educational games lousy? Is there nothing that can be done? And why can’t the educational system itself be more fun, you know, like games?  When will we stop raising all these questions and start answering them?

Join the ASLC Game Committee and Ron Weaver, a veteran game designer and professor at the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy, as we look at games like Plants vs. Zombies, Assassin’s Creed, Super Mario Maker, Kerbal Space Program and realize that they are more educational than we thought.

The talk starts at 6:00 PM and doors open at 5:30 PM! It will last for about an hour with a Q and A at the end!
