Geography Spring Colloquium Series: Marcus Williams, Ph.D.

Marcus Williams, Research Meteorologist with the USDA Forest Service in Athens, Georgia, will present a one-hour talk in his subject area for Geography faculty, students and guests.

His research interests focus on forest disturbances, land-atmosphere interactions, and regional climate modelling using numerical weather prediction techniques. He is an advocate for increasing diversity within the federal research arena and pursuing equitable practices that perpetuate the development of underrepresented professionals in the weather, water, and climate enterprise.
