This is the first GBM for HLSA. The goal of the event is to introduce the new e-board to the members and explain the purpose and mission of HLSA. This year HLSA's goal is to be more engaged with members and form a supportive community.
The event will outline the future events for HLSA and what members should expect. This will be a time to network and conversate about everyone's summer internships and re-engage as an organization after an extended time apart during the summer. The meeting will involve an engaging "ice-breaker" for all members to interact and get to know one another. The new president of HLSA will discuss with the members her vision for HLSA and open the discussion to members to offer suggestions of the types of events they want to have during the fall and spring semester. This event is needed to launch a successful year for HLSA.
