Hunting Cyberthreats

In today’s environment, it’s critical to build a defense strategy that protects FSU students, faculty, staff and data from cybercriminals. It’s also essential to have tools and personnel in place to actively hunt and resolve threats that exist in your environment. During this session, we’ll discuss cybersecurity best practices and review threat hunting tactics and demos. Tech swag for all attendees. Training certificate available for CPE credit.

The Cisco sales rep gave a very good presentation—high-level enough for what I needed with some "into the weeds" that was enough to keep my interest but not enough to be so deep that I didn't understand it. Technical issues with FSUGuest WiFi access caused a delay in demos of products and it had to be cut short when 11:00 came around because of a class. Again, it was more than I needed for a cybersecurity course I am writing for the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL), but it helps me have a better understanding of what is being done at an enterprise/organization level to mitigate cyberattacks.
