Identifying, Assessing, and Treating Opioid Misuse

Join us on Friday, January 10th from 12-1:30pm in a discussion with Daniel Dunleavy of the current trends in opioid misuse and deaths from overdoses over the last 20 years in the US and Florida. The reasons for how and why opioids are used and their effects on the body and brain will be discussed, along with the risk factors, signs and symptoms of opioid misuse. Current screenings, assessments, evidence-based treatments, resources and referrals for opioid misuse will be covered, together with the co-occurring disorders that can impact the assessment and treatment of people with opioid misuse alongside.
