Many universities have implemented continuous improvement tools and methodologies in support of their goal to grow the skills and knowledge of change leaders in higher education and to apply these tools in their improvement efforts. One of these tools is Lean. Introduction to Lean is a six-hour workshop that will engage participants in the use of Lean methodologies and tools that are designed to streamline and improve business processes, discovering along the way how big a change the methodology can affect in the organization’s culture. Lean develops transparency, and accountability and entrusts people who carry out business processes on a daily basis, with the authority and responsibility to change their own work practices.
