Data @ Your Desk Virtual Workshop: Introduction to MATLAB

FSU Libraries presents: Data @ Your Desk Workshop Series

MATLAB is a multi-use numerical computing environment and programming language that is widely used for solving problems in various engineering, scientific, and mathematical fields--especially when working with matrices and arrays. This introductory workshop will explore various concepts integral to getting started with MATLAB, including working within the desktop environment, creating and manipulating matrices and arrays, and importing and exporting data. Attendees will also learn about how to work with and create xy Plotting functions, pie charts, and histograms in MATLAB.

How to Prepare:

There are two options for accessing MATLAB for the session. Attendees should use one of these options:

1. Download a copy of MATLAB to your personal computer. Instructions for doing so can be found on the FSU ITS website: https://fla.st/3f6bCgm

2. Attendees can access MATLAB via the FSU Virtual Lab: https://myfsuvlab.its.fsu.edu/vpn/index.html
