"Looking Backward, Living Forward"

The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy presents a talk by 2019 Distinguished Alumna Joyce Godwin: "Looking Backward, Living Forward: A Journey from Student Government to Community Leadership to Humanitarian Aid and Advocacy."

Godwin will look back at her time at FSU, when she was very active with Student Government and other organizations; her post-FSU years in nonprofits, healthcare, higher education, the arts and business; and her most recent work in Africa with World Vision International, a humanitarian aid, development and advocacy organization.

Her story is an inspiring one for students on a path to engaging with the world and becoming agents of social change for the greater good.
