Open Scholars Project: Wikipedia Editing

The Open Scholars Project is an informal forum to learn about and discuss developments in open access. The group will allow FSU researchers and scholars to share experiences with open publishing, code and data across subject areas. We aim to create a group that is also action-oriented and supportive in bringing faculty, post-docs and graduate students together. The group will hold monthly virtual meetings in Fall 2021.

In November, we will be hosting a Wikipedia edit-a-thon in which we will have a demonstration of how to edit Wikipedia articles and hands-on editing to add open access sources to better support Wikipedia pages with accessible information. The Public Scholarship and Social, Humanities Data discussion has been postponed to a future meeting
