About this Event
View map Free EventThe FSU Piano camp provides comprehensive instruction for beginning, intermediate, and advanced players with no audition required. The overall instructional focus of this camp is developing good technique and learning overall musicianship for all ages. This camp also allows for students to practice and play non-classical music genres such as original compositions, movie scores, and popular music.
Students will receive instruction in music theory, piano literature, masterclass observation, studio class, and have daily practice time. Two elective classes are taken each day and students may choose their combination of composition and arranging, world music, and duo piano. Activities are planned for each evening: attend a faculty concert, go bowling at Crenshaw Lanes, jump at SkyZone, Paint-A-Pot at the Art Center, and more!
Camp will conclude with a final performance in Opperman Music Hall, and two private lessons are included at camp.
Please note that this camp is one-week (a change from previous years). If you are interested in a longer piano experience we encourage you to consider our Piano Institute.
You must be a registered camper to attend this event. Registration is now open. Please visit our website or contact us at 850-644-9934 for more information.
