PIE Coffee Hour & Teaching Workshop: Accessibility, Universal Design, and Canvas


Description: Universal Design in education (UD) is a movement to create course materials and design learning environments that are accessible to everyone without needing to make special adaptations to your course design. At this workshop you will learn more about the principles and practice of UD and how you can make your Canvas site and digital course materials accessible.

Come join fellow TAs and instructors discuss strategies and techniques that promote excellence in teaching and learning - bring your questions, concerns, and ideas - the coffee and pie will be provided! These workshops also count towards the PFF and/or PFP Certificates, as well as the Advanced PIE Teaching Training Recognition.

*All PIE workshops will be held in the Nancy H. Marcus Great Hall, 4th floor of the Honors, Scholars and Fellows House
