http://pie.fsu.eduLearning How to Teach Problem Solving through a VR Training Session (PIE/PFF/PFP)
Description: A central portion of education is to teach people to be better problem solvers. In this workshop, you will learn and practice strategies of teaching problem solving to students in a Virtual Reality (VR) environment. For beginning TAs and whoever is interested in improving teaching skills, this workshop would provide great opportunities to interact with virtual students and practice teaching anonymously in a simulated classroom. This workshop also gives you an opportunity to experience educational VR, which has been applied in multiple departments at FSU. (Note: The VR intervention is designed as a part of an NSF-funded research project).
