Pride Month

The Pride Student Union and Florida State University celebrate Pride Month in October each year to honor LGBT History Month, and to invite all members of our campus community to celebrate together during the academic year! The students have planned a curriculum of events that will challenge critical thinking, reflection on our past, and uniting together as we continue forward. This year’s theme, We Are Golden Together: 50 Years of Pride Student Union, unites the long and rich history of the Pride Student Union and present issues that the LGBTQ+ community faces.

There are so many ways to engage! This year’s events cover a wide range of topics, from the intersections between LGBTQ+ and Latinx, Asian/Asian American, Womxn, and religious identities. Pride will be showcasing LGBTQ+ artists, speakers, poets, and performers through their speaker event, an Open Mic Night, and their signature Pride Month Amateur Drag Show. They will celebrate National Coming Out Day as well as Pride’s 50th Anniversary this month!
