The Challenger Learning Center RAZOR Lecture Series is designed to provide an intellectual, engaging experience for the local community. Lectures are presented by scholars, researchers and experts in various science fields. In line with the Challenger Learning Center’s mission to foster long-term interest in STEM fields, the series will provide an illuminating look at cutting edge research.
Join Us Tuesday, October 17 at 7:00pm for an evening with Daniel Hallinan Jr., PhD, discussing "Polymer Electrolytes For Safer, Longer-Lasting Lithium Batteries"
Delve into the research on solid, polymer-based lithium batteries. Featuring an introduction to batteries, including their benefits and challenges, this presentation will examine the limitations of the best performing polymer electrolytes in order to aid the design of the next-generation of solid electrolytes. Hallinan’s research aims to enable safer, longer-lasting batteries.
Dr. Hallinan is an Assistant Professor of the Chemical & Biomedical Engineering Department at the FAMU FSU College of Engineering. More information on his research can be found here: https://www.eng.famu.fsu.edu/cbe/people/hallinan.html
