Record | Edit | Produce: A Beginner’s Guide to Media Creation - Image Editing

FSU Libraries is hosting a new media creation workshop series! Stop by to learn the basics of recording and editing video, audio, and images using free, open source software. This session is on using GIMP for image editing.

If you're interested in getting into photo editing and graphic design without paying for PhotoShop and similar software, GIMP is a free, open-source photo and graphics editor available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Join us as we take a tour of its interface, retouch a headshot, and combine images, text, and simple graphics together in a separate composition. In addition to the live workshop, sample project assets and a complete, self-paced instruction document will be provided. For questions, reach out to Jonathan DaSo at jdaso@fsu.edu.

Tom always provides very helpful information. I hadn't realized how much GIMP has been upgraded, so this was really interesting to me.
