Pascal Jean-Pierre, PhD is a clinical psychologist with expertise in cancer control and survivorship research and behavioral medicine, is an Associate Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine, Department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine. His patient-centered and community-based clinical research program focuses on assessing, characterizing and treating deleterious effects of non-central nervous system cancers (and chronic diseases e.g., type II diabetes) and their treatments on brain structures and neurocognitive functioning. His research has contributed towards advancing the field of cancer control and survivorship research, as well as strategies to reduce health care inequities. As part of the spring 2019 presentations organized by the Nursing Research Office, Dr. Jean-Pierre will deliver a presentation titled "Chronic diseases, brain and cognitive dysfunction: A multimodal integrative assessment and treatment approach".
