SALDF: National Justice for Animals Week

The Animal Legal Defense Fund’s National Justice for Animals Week is an annual event dedicated to raising public awareness about animal abuse, how to report it, and how to work within your community to create stronger laws and ensure tough enforcement. Join us for a week of action for animals Feb. 26-March 3, 2018! FSU SALDF will be hosting multiple events every day that week! Even if you are not interested in Animal Law, chances are you will cross it sometime in your career. Therefore, the more you know, the better! We have professors speaking everyday regarding how their area of law intersects with animal law. Food will be provided at every event! You can follow the events on Facebook here:

Join Professor Atkinson for a breakfast chat! This is an informal session where you can ask Professor Atkinson about Animal Law, Property Law, and probably everything in between!
Animal Law Lawyer, Marcy LaHart, out of Gainesville, will be here discussing her career in Animal Law. She has experience relating to legally defending allegedly dangerous dogs, pet custody disputes, veterinary malpractice, service animals, and emotional support animals. She also advises rescue groups and other animal welfare organizations! Lunch will be provided! Room 208 from 12:30-1:30 PM.

Join Professor Sam Wiseman for an afternoon chat! This is an informal session where you can ask Professor Wiseman about his personal experience with Animal Law and his new publication Labeling, Localism, and Animal Welfare! This will be in the Student Lounge from 2:30 to 3:30 PM.
