This presentation advocates for the use of systematic analysis writeups (SAWs) to improve the interactions between analysts and their collaborators. Typical ways of sharing results, such as raw output, analytic snapshots, or publication-ready reports, often lack either sufficient context or sufficient detail to effectively communicate the analyses. SAWs address these issues by combining the results with supporting information in a comprehensive, structured document. Through five key processes—organization, documentation, simplification, interpretation, and unification—SAWs ensure that analyses are clearly presented, properly contextualized, and readily accessible. The presentation presents specific examples for creating these writeups and highlights their benefits not only for collaboration, but also for paper writing, long-term project documentation, replication, and education.
