About this Event
1115 W Call St., Tallahassee, FL
Open to all students across campus! CWICS is designed as a multi-hour simulation to place students in realistic child welfare environments while synthesizing information from interviews and written documents. Students will be both active participants and observers, and have the opportunity to practice leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
The purpose of this event is to expose students to the challenge of working with interprofessional partners who each have different priorities, as well as the complexity of clinical decision-making with an interprofessional group. Students will be introduced to working with families who have experienced trauma. Each student group may develop different conclusions by the end of the event. Interested faculty and instructors may participate or observe.
