Join the Center for Global Engagement and the Middle East Center for a hands-on Tabla Beats Workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. in The Globe Auditorium. Experience the rhythm and artistry of tabla drumming, learn about its cultural significance, and even try playing the instrument yourself. This interactive workshop is free and open to all FSU students, faculty, and staff. Don’t miss this chance to explore a new musical tradition.

Matias Hazrum, a world-known Arabic percussionist, musician, teacher, and composer, will talk about the background of Middle Eastern/Tabla music and instruments. There will be a presentation, a performance, refreshments, and audience participation. This event is free and open to the public.
