Writing a teaching philosophy can be challenging, but it also presents an opportunity to articulate your approach to teaching and learning in a way that reflects your values and instructional practices. In this workshop, we will guide you through the process of creating a compelling, evidence-based teaching philosophy. We’ll explore common challenges, discuss rhetorical strategies and essential components of the document, and highlight common pitfalls to avoid. Through discussion and hands-on activities, you’ll begin developing the ideas and language to capture your unique perspective on teaching.
