The Power of Words with author/TV director Jeffrey Blount

Jeffrey Blount is the award-winning author of “Almost Snow White” and “Hating Heidi Foster.” His newest novel, “The Emancipation of Evan Walls,” explores the academic and social life of a black child growing up in the racially charges 1960s. Blount is also an Emmy award-winning television director and a 2016 inductee to the Virginia Communications Hall of Fame.

Events include:

  • A community-wide Black History Month lecture: 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Holley Lecture Hall
  • A roundtable discussion for FSU Panama City students: 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Bland Conference Center
