The University Symphony Orchestra, one of the premier ensembles in the Florida State University College of Music, will present their first concert of the year on Saturday, February 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. Under the direction of Dr. Alexander Jiménez, the University Symphony Orchestra program begins with Hindemith's Trauermusik for viola and strings, featuring Dr. Pamela Ryan on viola. The program continues with Darker America by William Grant Still and The Twittering Machine by Cindy McTee (conducted by graduate student Kyara Nelsen). The program concludes with Serenade for Strings by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

 

Due to university COVID-19 policies, all performances are closed to the public until further notice.
