University Wind Orchestra (UMA) - Ticketed

On Friday, September 28, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall, the nationally renowned University Wind Orchestra will present a concert of (mostly) American music under the baton of Richard Clary, Senior Band Conductor at the FSU College of Music. The 100th birthday of Leonard Bernstein will be observed with performances of Slava! and the seductive scherzo movement of the composer’s Symphony No. 1, “Jeremiah.” Other works for the evening include Morton Lauridsen’s beautiful O Magnum Mysterium, Finnish composer Aulis Sallinen’s balletic The Palace Rhapsody, and Morton Gould’s Symphony No. 4 “West Point.”

This is a ticketed performance. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and non-FSU students, and free for current FSU students with a valid FSU ID. For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact the College of Music Box Office at 645-7949.
